摘要

This essay wishes to present the implementation of drivers destinated for a generating signalsrninstrument and an acquisition instrument throughout the serial bus RS-232. The two drivers are basedrnon the SCPI language. The drivers are meant for the serial interface available on the HP33120Arngenerator and the HP34401A multimeter, the interface which allows the communication between therncomputer and the physical instrument. The command will be given by the computer and the instrumentrnwill translate them in his own programming language. The "virtual" generator allows the user to setrnthe type of the signal, the amplitude, the offset and the frequency for each signal. More to it, the userrncan choose if he wants his signal modulated or not. The possibilities for the modulation of the signalsrnare: amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, burst modulation and frequency shift keyrnmodulation, plus the sweep of frequency. The multimeter lets the user view on the computer screen thernvalues obtained due to the commands that have been given by him. It can be set for various measuresrnand different calculated values resulted from the measured values.
