New type of xerographic x-ray camera

Abstract: A highly sensitive x-ray image pickup device has been developed based on the scintillator and photoreceptor conversion method for a radiation image and the xerographic technique. As compared with the conventional x-ray film with the combination of the phosphor screen, a high sensitivity of nearly 10 times has been obtained. The experimentally made camera houses a scintillator- photoreceptor image plate together with a corotron charger as well as a toner developer, and a x-ray photograph is obtainable in a short time.!8
