The performance of the reverse link of a quasi-synchronous (QS)CDMA system over a multipath fading channel is investigated in this paper.Guard chips are added to the generalized orthogonal (GO) codes and the resultant sequences are used as the spreading codes. The Signal Interference Ratio (SIR) expression based on the Rayleighfading multipath channel model and maximum ratio combining (MRC) RAKE receiver technique is derived. The numerical system performance results obtained by means of Gaussian Approximation reveal that the GO spreading codes provide better system performance than PseudoNoise sequences.
