This paper briefly introduces the performance and features of converter slag in Shougang, summarizes the process and equipment of slag processing in Shougang. Slag recovering production line with an annual slag handling capacity of 1,200,000t was built in September 1998. The major equipment including two crushers, four round type vibrating screening machines, one bar screen, four magnetic dressing machines, and three feedings etc. After the process of two-phase crushing, four-phase screening and three-phase magnetic dressing, the slag steel product and tail slag product could be recovered. Meanwhile, enumerates some ways and practice examples of utilization of salg, and make the benefit analysis. The processed slag can be utilized comprehensively as follows: raw material for steel making and iron making, raw material and proportioning for sintering, slag for road building, steel slag cement, building material etc. The comprehensive utilization rate of slag is 95
