The major responsibility of the National Food Administration (NFA) in Sweden is to look after the interests of the consumer in the food area, and the Administration has the mandate to cover all aspects related to nutrition and risk evaluation of toxicants and microorganisms as well as to ensure fair trading practices, including honest labelling.
