The uplift of the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau is the greatest geological event in the late Cenozoic, which has triggered the enhancement of heat difference between global ocean and continent, the destruction of planetary winds and the formation of the eastern Asia monsoon. Being " The Third Polar" on the earth, the Plateau has exerted a considerable impact on the global climate, and this has gradually become a common thought accepted by more and more scientists. However, the Plateau region lacks records of a long time scale, high-resolution and continuous climatic environment in the past long period, so that we can not better understand the characteristics of the land climatic evolution caused by the Plateau uplifting, especially the impact of the dramatic uplifting of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau on monsoon circulation, natural environment differentiation in Asia and the formation of arid regions. The result of the multiproxy data analysis of core RH lake sediment in the Zoige basin in the past 800 Ka has provided basic data for regional comparison and deepened our understanding of the climatic effect due to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau uplifting and its influence on the adjacent areas.
