Study on the genetic transformation of rice was conducted by pollen tube pathway and embryo immersed into DNA solution. Total DNA of concentration at 80 g/ml seldom inhibited the germination of seeds. Variant plants of Erecting compact panicle type and Erecting unfilled grain type were found in the D_1 generation of embryo immersed into the DNA solution (0. 2% SDS + total DNA of Maize variety Hei301) , which were greatly different from receptor of Hejiangl9 in panicle type, in tillering, seed setting, 1000 grain weight, leaf color, seed shape etc. Twenty-eight genotypes of rice had been transformed by pollen tube pathway with total Maize DNA of Hei301. The performance of D_1 generation was similar with phenotype of the receptor, Only three variant plants were found in D_2 generation of Longjing4 combination; D96-33-1 was later in the maturity, stronger resistant to blast, higher in plant height, longer in panicle length, much grain in panicle, longer in grain shape, lower in seed setting, looser in panicle type. Progenies were variation widely with continuously ten years genetic study, some of characters of some plants closed to that of receptor. A new rice variety of Longjing14 was selected and developed.
