The paper analyzed the formation of soybean oil, and stated the characteristics influencing the oil content, such as soybean seed coat, plant type, flower color, fuzz color and leaf type et al. And the paper also analyzed the genetic characters of soybean oil and stated some molecular tagging work that has been done. All these provided some bases to soybean selection and breeding for high oil content in the future.
