Application of Somatic Clone Variation on Soybean Genetic Improvement

Based on somatic clone variation and cultural breeding techniques, two soybean clone variation lines were firstly selected at 2004. The two lines remain high oil content and stable specificity according to two generation regional testing and production testing. First, it improves donor variety legume splitting. Second, it highly resists to frosty mildew. Third, it postpones donor variety's growth duration 4-6 days, therefore, the mutant variety can be applied on large area, and increased their yield by 10 %.
