A Distributed Intelligent Computer/Telephony Network Integration Architecture for Unified Media Communication

摘要

This paper presents a distributed IN archit ecture called @INGate [1], [2], that elaborates a Unified Media Communications Service (UMCS) providing both messaging and telephony services between circuit switching and packet networks. It represents an Inter Working Unit (IWU) in CTI networks allowing the user access to a Unified Message Store-Line (UMSL) via traditional PSTN/ISDN equipment such as telephones and fax machines on the one side and networked computers equiped with mail readers and Web browsers on the other side to enable both online and off-line communication.
