Ultrasonic System for Diagnosis of Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders: Development, Verification and Clinical Trials

摘要

The number of patients who have the functional gastrointestinal disorders is increasing in recent years. They have various symptoms (I.e., heartburn, nausea, constipation). These might make the patient to be uncomfortable and unable to fully participate in life and work Current study shows the customized ultrasound system might be able to detect effectively an alteration of rigidity in the gastrointestinal tract well. However, it has been not attempted to develop an ultrasound system for the diagnosis of the functional gastrointestinal disorders. It is difficult to identify because of several symptoms of the functional gastrointestinal disorders. This study can be, therefore, valuable as first attempt to diagnose quantitatively the functional gastrointestinal disorders.
