The Manaoke gold deposit lies between the northeastern edge of Songpan-Ganzi Indo-Sinian Orogenic belt (classified as the eastern extent of the Tethyan tectonic domain) and the south sub-belt of the Western Qinling Orogenic belt (Fig. 1) and is located near the Yangbuliaozi fault, which parallel to the Maqu-Lueyang suture belt (CGT, 1995, Gu Xuexiang, 2002, ). The gold ore-bodies are hosted in a Middle-Upper Triassic turbidite sequence comprised of calcareous siltstone, calcareous slate, and thin-bedded argillaceous limestone with minor carbonaceous intercalates. Four stages of hydrothermal mineralization have been recognized in the Manaoke deposit. These are associated with different types and variable intensities of alteration at each stage.
