摘要

This paper is the one of teaching and research projects in Huazhong University of Science and Technology 2010-2011.The principle of project-based teaching model was discussed.The teaching objectives of that "the process and manufacturing methods are core, the CAD / CAM is main line, CNC machining is a leader, engineering background and process skills are fundamental" have been realized by application of the three-stage teaching model such as the basic manufacturing skills training, project manufacturing training of simple mechanical parts and comprehensive project manufacturing training.The teaching practice had been applied with eight classes for four rounds in the mechanical categories students after building the project database, writing syllabus and project mission statements.The results have shown that, comparing with the method of training-apprentice chef in the traditional training, students have more self-learning, independent practice opportunities,and be able to apply learned knowledge such that metal materials and forming processes, measurement and quality inspection, new materials and new technology, modem manufacturing technology in skills training to the integrated project manufacturing.The students consider that they have gotten the great harvest in both aspects in hand and brain; process analytical ability and teamwork cooperation were strengthened.Teachers believe the level of guidance improved, teacher-student exchanges are easier,which reaches the purpose of win-win in both teaching and learning.
