As a telescope reaching into the inner earth, the Continental Scientific Drilling is a big scientific project that possesses epochal significance in the present age for earth science. To master the variation of lithology with its depth is one of the aims of scientific drilling. Especially in the metamorphic lithologic area, it is very important to get this point by making use of logging data since the complexity of lithology. This paper presented a new method, the grey system to identify the lithology in the research process. From the result it showed that this kind of method is one of the effective methods to identify the different lithologies in metamorphic area.
