A coherence cube algorithm, which is a method of calculating coherence cube from instantaneous phase of wavelet transform by wavelet functions of simulating seismic wavelet (or derivative wavelet functions) , is put forward from wavelet transform , based on the methods of M. Bahorich' s and K. J. Marfurt' s. In order to identify the small faults in structure interpretation in oilfield, the coherence cube is reconstructed by calculating coherence cube in frequency division. The calculated result indicated that the coherence cube algorithm above described has the strongly ability of suppressing noise, and the application effect is obviously good.
