Based on the high-precision reflection coefficient formula in the TIH (Traverse Isotropic with Horizontal axis) azimuth anisotropic medium, a corresponding inversion method is presented in this paper. The performance of the approach is tested on the theoretical models we designed. The results indicate that the method is correct and efficient. To verify the applicability of the P-wave azimuthal AVO inversion, a lot of numerical tests focused on the resistibility to noise have been done. And it is also hoped that these numerical tests can provide necessary references to P-wave AVO inversion processing of real 3D data.
