Variable density correction technique of gravity exploration in the area with complex surface

摘要

When performing gravity survey in complex area, the intermediate layer correction and terrain correction using constant density will cause the appearance of false gravity anomalies due to the great variation of surface density and the topographic fluctuation. This paper presents a variable density correction technique of gravity exploration based on the variable density correction of the variable surface density. This technique can quantify the effect of the density variation of the surface, and eliminate considerably the above-mentioned false anomalies. The satisfactory result of processing of the actual data proved the effectiveness of the technique.
