Combining Diagnostic Methods for Process Industry

摘要

This paper discusses the integration of diagnostic methods used at various branches of process industry. Since there is no single diagnostic system covering all the diagnostic needs of any plant, various systems should be used concurrently to supplement each other. For practical reasons such concurrent use requires the systems to be closely integrated, including, e.g., common process models and user interfaces. A combined use of diagnostic systems in the pulp and paper industry is discussed.
