OPERATOR DECISION SUPPORT BY DYNAMIC SIMULATION

摘要

Process operators have a central role in plant performance. Dynamic simulation is a way of supporting their work. However dynamic simulation is a complex issue and requires operator task oriented tools to facilitate its use. This document describes three such tools: the what-if -tool to allow the testing of operator procedures, the why-tool to describe how various inputs contribute to an output and the how-to tool to find out how the desired behaviour in the plant can be achieved. These tools are being developed together with the UPM-Kymmene Jaemsaenkoski paper mill.
