摘要

Hollow glass fibers for delivery of mid-infrared lasers are drawn from a glass-tube preform to produce a long and flexible hollow fiber at low cost. A silver film is coated on the drawn glass tube with a wall thickness as small as 9.1 μm. A Pyrex-glass hollow fiber with an inner diameter of 340 μm and a length of 42 cm shows a loss of 3.0 dB for EnYAG laser light.
