Molecular immobilization and detection in a photonic crystal fiber

These experiments show that it is practically possible to coat the inner surfaces of holey crystal fibers (figures 1,2,3) with ither DNA or protein molecules, and subsequently obtain specific binding reactions in these small diameter structures. Further evidence for these biomolecular binding events is presented in [2].
