摘要

A mixture of carbon disulfide/iV-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (CS_2/ NMP, 1: 1 v/v) has attracted great attention of many coal chemists [1-4], since it was found be an excellent mixed solvent for extraction of some bituminous coals at room temperature [5]. Strong π-π interaction between CS_2 and NMP has been evidenced by thermal reaction of CS_2 with NMP and was considered to be an important reason for the synergic effect on coal dissolution [6]. The unexpected high solubility of many bituminous coals in a CS_2/NMP system should result from much more strong interaction between the CS_2/NMP system and organic species in the coals. However, direct evidence has not been reported.
