摘要

An improved analysis method for characterization of the heavy products from direct coal liquefaction was established. The method is based on column liquid chromatography technique. The heavy products were separated into four groups: saturates aromatics, resins and asphaltenes quantitatively. The application of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to hydrocarbon analysis is characterized with its high efficiency, high speed and high sensitivity [1]. However, it is unable to separate samples containing "heavy" components. TLC-FID [2-4] method can be used to analysis such samples with great advantages. But the separated components are only for FID measurement and can not be used for further analysis. Conventional method such as ASTM D4124 require fair amount of solvents [5, 6]. The advantages of the improved method include small amount of sample requirement and small amount of time consumption.
