From the study it indicates the occurrence modes of elements Cd and Pb in YM coal were different. Pb was mostly associated with mineral matter in various forms. A large part of the Cd was associated with pyrite, bound to organic matter and in the residues. Cd, and Pb in forms of ion exchangeable, carbonates and Fe-Mn oxides were unstable during gasification over the temperature range studied. During coal gasification, the volatility of Pb and Cd varied with gasification temperature significantly.
