摘要

At the high temperatures prevailing in slagging gasifiers, the total ash content, and the chemical composition of the ash and slag viscosity versus temperature characteristics become very important in coal selection. Ash fusibility can be used to restrict the gasification process. Choosing the appropriate additive becomes more important . The present research is an initial step to study the mineral transformations and interaction between the components of coal ashes and the additive proceeding at high temperature by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The results are analyzed and discussed by using ternary system phase diagram.
