Seeds of rice were treated with serial concentrations of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) for observation of germination and development. PFOS of 150 mg/L dose resulted in a germ inability rate of 87% and a germination rate of 88%, which was 96% and 97% respectively in control group. PFOS dose =120 mg/L all resulted in visible poor growth by seedlings falling or death. PFOS dose =90 mg/L inhibited chlorophyll a content, catalase activity, peroxidase activity and super oxide dismutase activity in the leaves (P
