Comparing 11 kinds of fat liquors, the influence of fat-liquoring on hydrothermal stability of chrome-free tanned leather was studied. The results showed that the influence on hydrothermal stability of sulfonated oil STO, SEO, sulfited fish oil and L-3 was weak; while sulfated caster oil, sulfited caster oil and sulfated fish oil could dramatically reduced hydrothermal stability of chrome-free tanned leather. The DSC curves of leathers fat-liquored with sulfonated oil STO, SEO, sulfated fish oil, sulfated caster oil, sulfited fish oil, sulfited caster oil or L-3 indicated the tendency of concentration and denaturation.
