This article presents and provides a friendly user Software interface in visual C++rnpermitting the evaluation and the choice decision of design tools and foundry services forrncompanies and universities with strategies to start fabricating MEMS for generalrnapplications.rnThe multidisciplinary nature of the design and fabrication processes of MEMS using arndesign methodology for modeling and simulation requires computer based simulationrntools for finite element modeling (FEA), and computer aided design (CAD) tools for therndefinition of the two dimension patterns helping the reduction of the overallrnmanufacturing cycle. The evaluation and selection of FEA/CAD tools and foundryrnservices needs to incorporate the concurrent design approach, considering design andrnmanufacturing tools in parallel with packaging and testing solutions. An innovativernevaluation and decision making software help the end user to make the right andrnappropriate decision.rnThe proposed software algorithm is based on injecting different selection criteria forrndesign tool and foundry services into models with some flexibility and adaptablernparameters. The user needs to evaluate different resources first and then inject selectionrncriteria with their priorities into the friendly user interface to obtain results helping himrngetting the final choice decision of the resources.
