Medium energy accelerators for isotope production in Europe

摘要

Using medium energy accelerator, it is now possible to produce efficiently large quantities of radioisotopes with facility of reasonable size. Neutron driven sources can also be available thanks to the high intensity available with this kind of machine. In some cases, deuteron and alpha particles can be accelerate with these machine opening the possibility to enlarge the possible radioisotope production (Cu-64, Sc44, ...).
