摘要

The aim of the paper is to present a set of experiments having the main goal to find an utilisation of the offals (metallurgical slags, ashes and slags from thermal-electric power stations, residues from chemical industry). This type of materials are introduced in mixtures which are further melted and the resulted glass are crystallised under control. The data illustrate the consequence of using Cr_2O_3 as crystallisation stimulator for a group of samples with a high content of CaO. The modification of crystal's size, their spatial distribution and the presence of new minerals in the final microstructure are the most important elements which inculcate extremely good performances for the product. Owing to their features one recommend them for plates having high resistance against chemicals and against wear through abrasion.
