In order to improve the hydrophile and water-absorbing ability of chitosan, heterogeneous phase polymerization method was used in this research to grafting-copolymerize NVP onto chitosan. The grafting copolymer was characterized by FTIR spectra, tontact angle measure and water-absorbing ratio measure.
