Research indicates that the formation of targeted injuries inside tissues with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound ( HIFU) is quite complicated. In 1997, Wang and some others put forward BFR ( Biological Focal Region). They have conducted lots of research into the law on formation of BFR inside the different viscera and in varying functional status, and the law on the formation of rows, slices, and a solid by fitting BFR together. Besides, sonographical characters during monitoring the formation of BFR and Fit-Together modes of BFR also falls into their research program. A lot of the quantified index had been obtained. As a noninvasive therapy, HIFU must base on the following for the clinical purposes: 1, When there is acoustic focal region produced in the ideal acoustic field, there must be a corresponding BFR formed inside the tissues. 2, BFR is the basic unit, whose shape and volume should be controllable. A solid of varying shape and volume should be able to be formed by fitting together BFR, 3, The optimal clinical protocol. 4, Ceaselessly optimize the system and real-time monitor the therapeutic effects.
