This paper mainly concerned about a novel sampled data software demodulation solution using Multimedia Extensions (MMX) technology in Multi-frequency Electrical Impedance Tomography (MFEIT) and Electrical Impedance Parameter Tomography (EIPT). Firstly, concepts and features of MMX technology are presented. Secondly, principles of MFEIT and EIPT are explained. The consistency among them and their difference from that of conventional Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) are discussed. Thirdly, sampled data demodulation scheme and method adopting MMX technology in MFEIT and EIPT are described respectively. Finally, the application results are given and it shows that MMX technology introduced in the demodulation enhanced the system performance.
