Stroke and Raster Displays (SRD) have been widely used as airborne Multi-Function Color Displays (MFCD), Head Up Displays (HUD), and Plan Position Indicators (PPI). It is generally adopted that using the special device or fitted display control device to test the SRD, so much as in the Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP). The special devices are very expensive. They are not general instruments. It is not a good idea to apply the special device to general Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). So, one of the key technology in ATE is the generation of the SRD signal The generation of the SRD signal is discussed in this paper. The generator is composed of image generator module, multi-channel arbitrary waveform generator module, and bus interface module. The stroke on raster picture is saved in a bitmap file.
