An Image Data Acquisition System Based on Area CCD

Image data acquisition system with CCD (Charge Coupled Devices) has been widely applied in optic-electric measuring system recently. In this paper, in the first place, an image data acquisition system architecture based on Area CCD is introduced. This system main includes the following parts: Area CCD, Timing generator, CCD clock drivers, A/D converter, Differential driver and Digital Image Acquisition Board. In the next place, working principle of this system is introduced. Clock timing state machine is a strong emphasis of this part. Its design methods are expounded in detail in this part. In the last place, the conclusion is given that this system is simple and effective in practical applications.
