摘要

Sulphation kinetics and mechanisms of synthetic Cu_2O particles have been exarmined using a laboratory scale fluid-bed reactor especially designed for this purpose. The study aims at a better understanding of flue dust behaviour in metallurgical waste heat boilers and, furthermore, at helping to design them to be more efficient. Screened fraction (74-105 mum) of synthetic flue dust particles has been used as a feed material. The effect of p_SIO2/p_O2-ratio, temperature (500-700degC). and reaction time (20-300 sec). on sulphation of the particles has been tested. Chemical analysis, optical and scanning electron microscopy (+EDS_ have been utilized as the main analytical methods when examining the samples.
