摘要

The reduction kinetics of metal oxides with carbon was studied by the gravimetric method. In the case of iron-manganese oxides, reduction to the metal is impossible because carbide is formd first. The characteristics of the carbothermic reduction process of iron-manganese oxides were not clarified sufficiently, because of the difficulty through volatilization. We succeeded in studying the kinetics of carbon reduction of rion-manganese oxide, MnFe_2O_4, and the effect of hydrogen addition on this process by a new technique, simultaneous measurement of EGA and HS. It is important to obtain basic data for the reduction kinetics of metal oxides with natural gas.
