Gaussian approximations of the density evolution based on mutual information measure

摘要

In this paper we use the expressions for the extrinsic information transfer of parity-check and repetition codes over the Gaussian channel, in order to analyze the performance of LDPC codes under Belief Propagation decoding using a Gaussian approximation for Density Evolution that is based on the mutual information measure.
