Based on these experiments, the SR method provides a simple, low-cost method to estimate scalar fluxes without the need to measure stability or wind speed. The SR method offers a possible alternative for estimating H, λE, and F_c when the α weighting factor is known. Therefore, the SR method can be used to estimate scalar fluxes during periods with missing data or when more expensive equipment is unavailable. More work is needed to filter or smooth the EC estimates before calibrating the SR data.
