Bicarbonate as new counter ion for six selected anion exchange resins was studied on chromaternremoval and three other contaminants. The effectiveness of bicarbonate-form resins for chromaternremoval were investigated from batch experiments, including separation factor analysis,rnadsorption isotherm analysis, and chromate removal performance at each resin dose level.rnMarathon 11 demonstrated the most desired performance on chromate removal. Resin affinity onrnchromate removal was not entirely same when analyzed with separation factor and adsorptionrnisotherms, which may due to using lack of entire data points when calculating separation factor.
