摘要

This work presents results on both pressure and productionrnresponses during transient and boundary-dominated flowrnperiods, in naturally fractured reservoirs with vuggy porosity.rnIt is considered that triple-porosity systems may not be treatedrnas dual-porosity reservoirs, mainly because fractures and vugsrnhave different geological origin and therefore their interactionrnwith matrix blocks do not have to be similar. New solutionsrnare presented for the case where there is no primary flowrnthrough vugs, an extension of the Warren and Root model, rnexisting an interaction between matrix, vugs, and fracturernsystems.rnThe new model assumes a single partially penetrating wellrnproducing from an undersaturated system considering severalrnboundary conditions. The inner boundary condition at thernwellbore can be considered either a fixed flux or constantrnpressure boundary. The upper, lower, and outer boundariesrncan be modeled at constant pressure or prescribed flux. Thesernboundaries can be closed, or the influx can be modeled via arnstep rate or a ramp rate function. The step rate function couldrnrepresent a waterflood effect and the ramp rate function arnnatural waterdrive or gas drive cap effect. The transientrnpressure response is also analyzed by considering an infiniternouter boundary. In transient well tests and decline curvernanalysis, the effects of triple-porosity for different upperrnand lower boundaries conditions are analyzed, besidesrnconsidering closed upper and lower boundaries as it has beenrndone in the literature. It is shown that for triple porosityrnsystems the derivative function may exhibit different behavior to that of double-porosity reservoirs. It is demonstrated thatrnthe presence of vugs and caves may have a definitiverninfluence on transient well test and decline curve behaviors.rnSynthetic and field examples are presented to illustrate thernmethodology proposed in this work.
