This study is dedicated to the effect of heat treatment on the fatigue strength of a rearaxial beam and aims to propose a methodology suitable and reliable for fatigue design.The rearaxial beam is made of sheet metal (22MnB5);the microstructure is ferrito-pearlitic before andmartensitic after the treatment.
