The approaches of RDSM were classified into six categories by us according to the type of protein database and the FDRs:using unattached or attached sequence reversed protein database to estimate the FDRs of peptide identifications (UPEP or APEP),using unattached or attached sequence reversed protein database to estimate the FDRs of protein identifications (UPRO or APRO),using unattached or attached sequence reversed protein database to estimate the FDRs of protein identifications with considering number of peptide identifications assignment with protein (UPROPEP or APROPEP).
